Got new 5MGE cam shaft housings sent from the states. After cleaning them up with oven cleaner and degreaser they are now 90% clean. My previous ones and the cams in them had been deeply scored by grit and could possibly have seized if they were reused.

Here are the cam covers from the 6MGE cleaned and with the old paint stripped off. The cam covers on these engines are quite nice. Just need to think what colour to paint them.
